I’m Sara Galipeau, a nutritionist and long-time herbivore. I started out vegetarian in high school and made the switch to vegan in university, all for the love of animals – and noticed amazing health benefits in the first year after I fully dropped animal products from my menu and started eating more plants. My skin cleared up (a constant problem since I was 10 years old). I stopped getting throat infections (and the accompanying 1 to 2 rounds of antibiotics) every. single. winter. My endurance and energy levels rose. I lost 15 lbs and felt fabulous in my wedding dress. And I laughed and smiled more.
It was this lightbulb moment that pushed me to learn more about nutrition and how I could help people like you change their lives, the plant-powered way. I’m not perfect, and I’ve had my share of ups and downs, like you. As such, this blogspace is not about perfection. I’m here to help you find your best self, while contributing the least harm to the animals and our planet.
